How can I get a copy of my test results?
You may request a copy of your results at the time you have your blood drawn, or days later. A Release of Information form will need to be filled out stating the information requested. The laboratory or medical records department will them make copies of your reports and either give them to you at that time, or mail them.

What does "fasting" mean?
There are several tests for which the physician requests a fasting level. For laboratory purposes, fasting means no food or drink (except water and medication) for at least 12 to 14 hours prior to having your blood drawn.

How early or late can I have my blood drawn?
Laboratory testing hours are 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. If you need to make different arrangements, please call (509) 382-3201 to schedule an appointment.
Can the laboratory personnel explain my lab results to me?
No, you need to discuss the results with your physician. Interpretation of laboratory results does not fall within our scope of practice. You physician ordered specific tests just for you, and he or she can best explain the results based on your personal health issues.
Can you send my results to any physician?
Yes, we can electronically fax to the physician of your choice as long as we are provided with a current fax number, phone number, and address.
How long will it take for my doctor to get the results?
Most testing will be available to your physician within 1 hour of receipt in the laboratory. Some specialized testing may take a day or more.
